Red Hot Chile Peppers Spain-Chile brought down the house last night while bring down world power Spain 2-0.
Who'd a thunk that 2 games in, defending World Cup Champion Spain would be eliminated? yep.
After getting annihilated by the Dutch in the first game, they continued to show their lack of mojo. La Roja had nothing going, seemed like they were in a funk. But, in the end, it was Chile's tactics, tenacity and passion that won it.
Spain is the first defending World Cup Champion eliminated with 1 game remaining in group stage. ouch.

Speaking of Nascimento, let's celebrate a more famous Nascimento. You may have heard of him, Edson Arantes do Nascimento. Also known as Pelé. Happy 56th anniversary of your first World Cup goal.
It was on this day that he announced his arrival to the world when he scored his first ever World Cup goal. His strike was the only goal in a 1-0 win over Wales that gave Brazil a passage into the semi-finals.
At 17 years and 239 days he was the youngest goalscorer in World Cup history, but he wasn’t finished yet. In his next game against France Brazil were leading 2-1 when Pele made more history by netting a hat-trick.
In the final he bagged two more as hosts Sweden were swept aside 5-2. Brazil had won their first World Cup and the world had a new hero.

The St. Louis Rams = United States
Buffalo Bills = Netherlands
The Netherlands have finished as the runner-up in the World Cup three times but never have won the title. In 1978 the Netherlands played in the title game against Argentina, was bothered that their opponent stalled, and had a chance to take a late lead but a kick hit the left post. Not exactly “wide right” and the Giants controlling the clock in Super Bowl XXV, but close.
New England Patriots = Portugal
Cristiano Ronaldo and Tom Brady walk into a bar at the same time. Who goes home with the supermodel?
