Goal Line Technology is here.
It only took four days for Goal-line technology to save the day. France's second goal against Honduras was awarded after replays showed the ball bouncing off one post, then off the Keeper and across the line by millimeters before the keeper grabbed it back.
The left image is a replay that shows the ball may have crossed the line. The right image is generated by computers that crunch data from images of 14 high speed cameras in each stadium. When the ball crosses the line, the computer transmits to the referees watch with confirmation with a half second.
